Press-on-itis (also known as get-there-itis) refers to the tendency to persist in pursuing a planned destination or goal, even when safer alternatives are available. Press-on-itis is a subconscious human behaviour that can lead us to take unnecessary risks or make poor decisions because we are focused on reaching our objective.
